
THE TASK
For this project I was tasked to create a new marketing campaign for Walmart. This new campaign's goal is to target adults with families as Walmart brand is youthful and bright. Additionally, their low prices make shopping on a budget easier for adults with children. For this campaign I will be creating 3 marketing pieces to target this demographic.

STYLE GUIDE
First, I developed a style guide that would define all of the design elements that I would be using in this marketing campaign. For the colours, I used some of Walmarts current colour palette, as well as using some new ones such as pink. For the typography, I used some playful, youthful looking fonts reminiscent of Walmart's current fonts. For the graphics I created some fun shapes that echo movement and energy. Finally, for the imagery I used some I found some photos of children playing.
SKETCHES
Next, I moved on to creating rough sketches of the marketing elements that I would be using in this campaign. These sketches would. Although different in layout, each of these sketches used the same branding elements which would help ensure that this marketing campaign remains cohesive. I also developed the new slogan, "growing imagination for less".


FINAL DESIGNS
For my final designs I essentially just digitized my sketches on Adobe Illustrator, as received positive feedback from the sketches and style guide. These advertisements really capture a sense of imagination and childhood wonder. They also don not stray too far from Walmart's current brand.
